A powerful earthquake devastated Haiti, a small island nation, on 12 January 2010. It has caused extensive destruction to Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital. The disaster has evoked sympathy from countries all over the world. Let us hope that relief assistance will quickly reach all the victims to alleviate their suffering.
